About the project

KOVO is a specialty coffee brand shaped by urban culture and everyday ritual. Based in a Western European city, the brand speaks to young, design-aware audiences — digital nomads, creatives, and espresso lovers who see coffee as an integral part of their daily rhythm. From the start, KOVO set out to build a contemporary, confident identity that feels functional, honest, and grounded in real use.

Our ChallEnge

The task was to create a visual identity that clearly expresses KOVO’s character without leaning on familiar specialty coffee clichés. The brand needed a system that could live effortlessly across digital and physical touchpoints, resonate with a fast-moving urban audience, and support long-term growth, content creation, and consistency.

Our Solution

We developed a brand system designed to work as a practical tool, not just a visual layer. Our approach focused on three key areas:

Identity & Structure

We designed a clear and flexible visual identity, including the logo and its variations, typography, and color palette. The system was built to remain recognizable and consistent across formats while allowing adaptability in everyday application.

Function-Driven Design

Every element was created with purpose. From primary brand assets to micro-details and taglines, each component serves a functional role, supporting clarity, usability, and scalability over time.

Art Direction & Expression

We defined a clear art direction to guide future content creation. This framework allows the brand to express character and attitude while maintaining visual cohesion across campaigns, platforms, and touchpoints.

What it achieved

Through this approach, KOVO gained a clear and confident visual language aligned with its audience and environment. The brand now operates with consistency, flexibility, and intent across channels. By focusing on function, detail, and structure, KOVO was positioned as a modern specialty coffee brand built for urban life — designed not only to look good, but to work, adapt, and last.
