How We Helped Non-Techies Actually See Their App Ideas

App Builder started as a cool tool on the Aetherius website—a kind of DIY platform for turning rough app ideas into real mockups. The problem? It was built by developers... for other developers. If you didn’t speak code, you were kinda out of luck.So Aetherius called us in to clean things up and make it usable by literally anyone with an idea and a dream.
The Challenge
The App Builder had promise, but the user experience? Confusing at best, chaotic at worst. We’re talking:
- Outdated screens that looked like they were from an old admin dashboard
- Way too many options for someone who just wants to visualize their app
- A one-size-fits-all approach, where every user got the same boring layout
Basically, it was a maze with no map. And that’s not the vibe when someone’s just trying to see if their app idea even makes sense.

What We Did
Our goal? Make app creation feel easy—even fun—for people who don’t know the difference between frontend and backend.
So we:
- Reimagined the whole flow using Design Thinking (aka: real user feedback, not guesswork)
- Reorganized features to guide users step-by-step
- Cleaned up the UI with a sleek, modern look that matches Aetherius' new brand
- Introduced a 3-step onboarding: pick your app’s industry, choose features, and select a color scheme
Suddenly, users weren’t overwhelmed—they were actually excited to keep going.

Results
Here’s what changed after the redesign:
- App Builder started generating quality leads—not just random visitors clicking around
- People could submit their custom app mockups directly, which made it super easy for Aetherius to start real conversations
- The whole platform went from a semi-hidden tool... to a full-on lead magnet
One client called it “the Canva for app ideas.” We’ll take it.

Let’s turn your tool—or your website, or your weird idea scribbled on a napkin—into something that actually gets people to raise their hand. We’ll help you design it, simplify it, and make it convert.
